Frequently Asked Questions

Just Family is a Kentucky state licensed adult day health care that has provided services across the state of Kentucky for over fifteen years.

Just Family has eight, locations and the hours of operation for each location can be found under the Locations tab.

Just Family provides assistance in the following areas:

  • Mobility
  • Eating
  • Self care (toileting, dressing, walking)
  • Medication administration
  • Wound care
  • Blood sugar monitoring (for persons with diabetes)

Just Family offers ancillary services in the following areas:

  • Personal care (bathing and hygiene)
  • Respite care
  • Transportation (arranged or provided directly)

Just Family offers a variety of programs and activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive and social simulation and the enjoyment of daily life. Please visit the Programs & Activities tab for a full listing.

Just Family provides breakfast, lunch and a PM snack on a daily basis. Accommodations are met for those participants that have special dietary needs.

Voluntary Discharge Criteria:

A voluntary discharge is one which is generated by the participant, their responsible party/caregiver or the participant’s attending physician. Because the adult day health care center specializes in the care of persons with cognitive impairment, for the protection of participants served, no participant will be permitted to discharge themselves from the adult day health care center program without consultation with their case manager, caregiver and administrator.

Involuntary Discharge Criteria:

An involuntary discharge is one which is generated by the adult day health care center because the participant’s behavior or function is exceeding the parameters of the admission/retention criteria or because the responsible party, after receiving notification of overdue account, is sixty or more days delinquent in payment of same.

Each individual care plan is developed upon admission and updated as needed, but at least annually.

Just Family’s general guideline for staffing is a 1:6 ratio.

Just Family is staffed with registered nurses, and/or licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants.

Just Family only accepts checks payable to Just Family, Inc.

Medicaid covers adult day health care services, if the individual is eligible. Some insurance plans may also cover adult day health care.
